Bolo de baunilha com natas e morangos | Vanilla cake with cream and strawberries

E como o prometido é devido, aqui têm uma receita bem fresquinha! Ouvi dizer que o tempo por aí não está muito famoso, mas por cá o sol e o calor que a segunda feira nos trouxe, acabou por desaparecer! De qualquer forma, acredito que eles vão voltar em breve! Óptimo para retomar as comidas leves e fresquinhas, que é o caso da receita de hoje (apesar de ser um bolo e poder erradamente parecer uma sobremesa pesada!). Uma excelente opção para um aniversário (como foi o caso) ou simplesmente um lanche. O importante é que fique durante umas horitas no frigorífico para ser servido bem fresquinho.

As promised, here is a brand new recipe! I heard that the weather in Portugal is not as good as it was expected by now and here in Norway, the sun that showed up on monday decided to hide again... But I hope it will come back soon, which is really nice on the subject of light and fresh dishes! Today's recipe (even though it's a cake and it could seem heavy at first), really fits in the previous description. It's a really good option for a birthday (which was the case) or simply for a afternoon meal. The important thing is that it sits on the fridge for some hours so that it can be served really fresh.
The dough recipe is once more copied from Manuela Kjeilen's blog - Passion 4 baking. It's a simple vanilla cake baked only with egg whites! I thought that a strawberry and cream frosting would look perfect over it...
